What's Happening

This past week your pastor and his wife attended our national meeting in Norman, OK. They reported that the business was handled respectfully and in one accord, the worship services were times of revival and that watching the many missionaries being commissioned was a real blessing. New College Ministry

posted Jan 26, 2013, 11:54 PM by Meadowside Baptist

We have officially kicked off our College Ministry and are confident God is going to do great things in the PittState Community. Already our first college night was a huge success. We met on Jan. 16th for homemade spaghetti and garlic bread. Then on the 22nd Ruth and Fred made Spoon Burgers!!! YUM  Ryan Wydick, one of our college students, brought the devotional. For more information about how you can hang out with us, enjoy some good food and read from God's Word, call me, Pastor Aaron at 620-249-5471, or come see me any morning, Mon.-Fri. in my office at the church.

Sunday, Oct. 7th

What a great service we had today! As one of our church members said, "We just fell in love with Lucas House and wanted to learn as much as we could about how God is using him in Africa." After the morning worship hour we went to the Activity Center for lunch and then back to the sanctuary where Lucas showed us slides of his ministry and answered questions. The time went by so fast until I don't think anyone was ready leave when it was over. Lucas is now on his way to St. Louis where he will spend the night before continuing tomorrow to Kentucky. Please continue to keep him in your prayers!

Our youth have been active!

In June our VBS theme was Lava Lava Island. A great big thank you to Sharon Evans for directing VBS. Then came July with a trip to Texas for SOAR and a week of church camp in Conway, MO. In August we had a great time helping North Lake Church with their VBS. Family contacts were made and the Word of God was planted in the minds and hearts of young people in Smithville, MO. Afterwards we enjoyed a fun time at the lake with Jamie and Todd. Thanks to our adult sponsors, Sharon and Letha Evans! Now we are looking forward to a youth lock-in on August 17th! For more information call the church at 620-231-3418.

Thirty Fifth Anniversary

posted Nov 21, 2011, 1:58 PM by Meadowside Baptist   [ updated Nov 21, 2011, 2:04 PM ]

Meadowside Baptist Church celebrated their 35th anniversary Nov 20.  We began our services with the southern gospel singing group "Master's Voice" followed by a pot luck lunch.  At 2:00 we re-assembled in the sanctuary for a time of remembering and several brought special music.  The missionary who planted the church, Brother Paul Mooney, was in attendance, as were several members from the past who have moved away. A great time was had by all.
